I promised pictures of Ben at baseball. Since summer ball is more casual - the coaches had a little fun and got camo jerseys for the guys. I thought I would hate them but they have grown on me, and the other teams we play are all very envious - must be a guy thing!
I have to say... big boy baseball stresses me out. I miss the days when nobody counted runs, hits, or errors and the biggest thing on the players' mind was what kind of drink boxes and cookies the snack mom was bringing. Sigh.....
Still wish I could talk him into golf or tennis!
Amelia thoroughly enjoyed Girls State, surprise surprise! Anything dealing with new people and places always tops the list with her. After a successful run for House of Representatives she also ran for Speaker of the House and won. Here are pictures waiting at the top of the State House steps to be introduced and then walking down with the Boys State Speaker. I think she got big kicks out of this!
Here she is with most of the girls from her "city" (hall) - or maybe county (dorm) - not sure.
I'm very glad I rummaged through ebay for some good deals on Lilly Pulitzer skirts and dresses. Apparently that was the fashion must have!
These are some of her favorite girls -
Especially these two - (New BFF) Maggie from Clinton on the left, Meriweather from Anderson on the right.
Next up for both of them - a mission trip to Cranks Creek, Kentucky where they will live in something they call a "survival center" and bathe in the creek. Yee haw!
